HELPFUL INFORMATION & ONGOING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Bulletin Notices & Deadline
Suggested content for next week's Parish Bulletin can be emailed by clicking
here. Alternatively, notices can be placed in the Office door mail slot by noon on Wednesday. If you are requesting prayer for people who are sick, their names can be added to the prayer list (with their permission). If someone's name should be removed from that list, please let us know as soon as possible.
Parishioners Old & New
You are welcome in our Parish. We are glad if you are attending Mass here. Parish Registration Information (green forms) are in the Church for you to update your information in our records. Please return these papers in the collection basket or in the mail slot at the Office Door. Thank you.
Baptisms - Children and Adults
Children usually are baptised soon after birth. Please call the Parish Office to begin preparations for this Sacrament. Adults are usually initiated into the life of the Church after a period of preparation and instruction. This process begins with a conversation with the Parish Priest. If you or someone you know would like information about becoming a Catholic, call us at 613-389-2009.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Confessions are heard in the Church each Saturday afternoon from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and at any time by appointment. Parish Penance Celebrations are held during the Advent and Lenten seasons.
Care of the Sick & Emergencies
Holy Communion is taken regularly to those who are sick and shut-in. Contact the Parish Office if this service is needed. In case of any immediate emergency, call the Parish at 613-389-2009. If no one is in, leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.
Couples Planning Marriage
If you are planning to be married in 2010, please contact us (613-389-2009) at least six months before your proposed date of Marriage. Some significant Marriage Preparation will be necessary. Before setting a date or planning a ceremony, it would be helpful if you would prepare some documentation. Before meeting with Father Mike, please gather your current personal identification and an updated Certificate of Baptism (issued within the last six months). If you are marrying a baptized person who is not Catholic, please obtain whatever baptismal information that person has.
Become an Altar Server
Have you received your First Holy Communion and wish to be an altar server? Call the parish office at: 613-389-2009 or email us at: bls@thehavens.ca We also are considering training several adult men and women for service at the altar.
Make Use of Sunday Offering Envelopes
Sunday Offering Envelopes are available. If you do not use Sunday Offering Envelopes currently, please consider doing so. Contact the Parish Office so a set may be prepared for you in order for your contributions to receive an official Tax Receipt. While we do have a duty to give back to the Lord a portion of what we have earned and received, there is no need for us to pay taxes on that portion given in support of the Church and its mission in the world. Only an official Tax Receipt can reduce the amount of Income Tax we pay. So, please call us and we will gladly prepare a set of Sunday Offering Envelopes for you. 2010 Envelopes are available.
Prayer Group - Most Mondays at 7:30 pm; Third Mondays at 6:30 pm
Our Prayer Group meets weekly to pray the Rosary and to intercede for the sick and for various needs. Join us in the Church most Monday evenings at 7:30 (except for the third Monday of the month when we meet at Helen Henderson Centre at 6:30 pm).

Save Your Used Postage Stamps for Children
The Redemptorists (Father Art Connell's community) collect stamps. Please put your used postage stamps in the red and white box at the Religious Articles stand. It is amazing, but only ONE cancelled stamp can get food for one day for a Third World child..
